Meet Criminal Defense Attorney Ashley Whitham
I am originally from Wyoming where I was a rodeo queen and grew up showing horses competitively.
I went to undergrad and graduate school in Wyoming and adventured to San Diego for law school. While in law school, I competed in both Mock Trial and Moot Court.
Experience with the Criminal Justice System
I have devoted my entire career to helping those being pursued by the criminal justice system. I was a Public Defender for over four years. While a Public Defender I quickly earned the reputation of being a tough opponent and a strong advocate for my clients. I have handled over 1,200 cases; which have ranged from a simple traffic cases to homicides and everything in between. In 2016 I opened my own practice practicing criminal and family law. In 2023 I merged my practice with Colorado Legal Group, where I was a managing attorney prior to joining Sawyer Legal Group.
Trial Ready - Positive Results
I have now been practicing criminal defense for over twelve years where I continue to fight zealously for my clients. I've taken over 100 cases to a jury trial, achieving not guilty verdicts in homicide cases, sex assault cases, assaults, thefts, DUIs, domestic violence cases and many others. I'm not afraid to take a case to trial, but I also understand the importance of fighting for you ahead of trial in the hopes of yielding a positive result.

Throughout my life I have watched people I know and care about try to navigate the justice system; some who were wrongfully accused and convicted. I know the stress, emotion, and life impact that anyone accused of a crime faces. I have a passion for helping my clients navigate the system; while also being a strong advocate for them.
