Meet Criminal Defense Attorney Jason Gardner

Jason has a very analytical mind and is a consummate problem solver, as he spent over 23 years in the Information Technology field working his way up to be an IT Director prior to his career in law. Additionally, he has worked in sales, managed businesses, and was a Combat Engineer in the U.S. Army. He believes in working hard and always doing what is right. His analytical and logical approach towards each case he takes on, along with his passion for helping people and his very calming and personable manner, has served his clients very well throughout his career.
Education and Experience
Jason is a Colorado native, graduating from the University of Denver's Sturm College of Law Evening Program in 2011 while working as an IT Director. The part-time evening program at DU is consistently ranked among the best in our nation. He was very active at the University of Denver as a member of the law school's Student Bar Association as a senator and vice president, a member of the Christian Legal Society, and as an officer in the Federalist Society. He also interned for the National Conference for State Legislators, the Independence Institute, and Holsinger Law, LLC during law school
After graduation, he began working as a Trust and Estate attorney. Following a brief hiatus working with the State of Colorado as a Contracts Manager, he turned to litigation, gaining additional trial and litigation skills. As both a Probate Litigator and a Deputy District Attorney with the 18th Judicial District Attorney's Office, Jason found a passion for working with people tackling the constitutional issues associated with trial work in the criminal law field. He chose to leave the District Attorney's Office to help people more directly as a criminal defense attorney. Jason now works directly with his clients at Sawyer Legal Group, LLC, helping them to navigate the difficult world of criminal law and the criminal court system in which they find themselves.
