A story was recently released about a former schools superintendent in Grand Junction traveling to Washington, where he was caught trying to solicit a child for prostitution. According to The Daily Sentinel, the man was the victim of a Police Sting operation – a detective “posed as a 16-year-old pimp using a text application” and the Colorado man took the bate, thinking he would be soliciting a 13-year-old child. Now sentenced to 10 years in a federal prison, the 76-year-old man is losing a big part of his remaining life, and afterwards will live as a registered sex offender.
