Katie Kellett

I have dedicated my career to advocating for those charged with crimes and fighting for a result that aligns with your goals. I know those goals are different for every person and I am committed to a client centered approach throughout my representation.
Meet Colorado Criminal Defense Attorney Katie Kellett
I have spent the entirety of my career in the courtroom representing clients who have been accused of various crimes. I understand it is incredibly intimidating to have the full force of the government breathing down your neck, and I have a passion for coming alongside you while guiding you through the process. As a public defender for 3.5 years, I represented clients charged at every level from DUIs and misdemeanors to first degree murder. I have appeared in multiple courtrooms and jurisdictions representing adults and juveniles.
I have worked tirelessly to ensure that clients get the best outcome possible. I understand those goals are different for each person. I am a zealous advocate willing to fight for the wrongly accused. Proven to be an effective negotiator in presenting extensive mitigation to DAs and judges, I show my clients are so much more than the allegations they're facing.
Katie's Approach to Criminal Law in Colorado
I aim to thoughtfully listen to your concerns, goals and questions about the process from the beginning of the case until the end. I'm dedicated to fighting for those goals while advising you of realistic outcomes. I am not intimidated by the government's tactics and will carefully litigate your case through investigation, pretrial motions, and trial. Through this approach, I have been able to get many cases dismissed before they ever made it to trial.
As a Christian attorney, I acknowledge the value in every individual. People are worth so much more than the crime they are accused of. It is my honor to bring the story of every person to the district attorney and the judge by getting to know my clients personally and gaining their trust.
