I have a deep insight into how the District Attorney’s office works.

What I Offer

Because of my experience as a Deputy District Attorney in Douglas and Arapahoe Counties in Colorado, I know how the DA’s office works. I also know the criminal justice system well. Many cases come out of Jefferson, Denver and Adams County, and prosecutors end up analyzing cases quickly. Thus, a lot of citizens that face criminal charges are not represented by a lawyer. As a result, sometimes they end up taking the deal, simply because they feel they have to. The fact is, this can often turn into a situation of regret later in one’s life. That’s why I have a passion and a mission to educate my clients on any crimes they are accused of committing, the judicial process, as well as what they could be facing if convicted. It’s my goal, as a criminal defense lawyer, to ensure clients’ rights are protected and that their decisions are informed. I strive for a hopeful and secured outcome for each of my clients.

I obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and German at Lipscomb University, a private, liberal arts university in Nashville, Tennessee. Afterwards, I moved to Colorado, where I earned my Juris Doctorate at the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law.

Additional Experience

After law school ended, I became eager to apply my talents to the community, which is when I became a Deputy District Attorney with the 18th Judicial District. I handled hundreds of cases during my time as a prosecutor. Before various juries, I also tried dozens of the criminal cases I managed. Some of them involved child abuse, DUI’s, sex offenses, and domestic violence. I took care of each one efficiently and ethically. After my time as a Deputy District Attorney ended, I shifted gears to private practice, where my focus was on family law and criminal defense. Currently, I work full-time as a criminal defense attorney at the O’Malley Law Office.
